When you create an account, we collect your email address for authentication purposes. We use passwordless authentication via one-time codes sent to your email.

We collect information about how you interact with our service, including your source subscriptions, reading position in your feed, and location preferences for weather display.

When you access our service, we may automatically collect device information, browser type, and usage patterns to improve our service.

AI Processing
Nutgrafe uses artificial intelligence to read and summarize articles from publicly available RSS feeds. We process article content to generate summaries, key points, and analysis. This AI processing is performed on article content from news sources—we do not use AI to analyze your personal data or reading habits for advertising purposes.
Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using Supabase, which provides enterprise-grade security with row-level security policies. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
Newsletter and Email Communications
When you create a Nutgrafe account, you are automatically subscribed to our daily newsletter. We collect your email address to deliver personalized news summaries and important service updates.
Newsletter emails may include:
- Daily news summaries based on trending topics
- Updates on topics you follow (for registered users)
- Service announcements and important updates
You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time through your account settings or by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email. Unsubscribing from the newsletter will not affect your ability to use the Nutgrafe platform.
We use Mailgun, a third-party email delivery service, to send all emails including newsletters and authentication codes. When we send you an email, your email address is transmitted to Mailgun's servers for delivery. Mailgun may process and store email metadata (such as delivery status and timestamps) in accordance with their privacy policy. We do not share any other personal information with Mailgun beyond what is necessary for email delivery.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Supabase - For authentication and data storage
- Mailgun - For email delivery (newsletters and transactional emails)
- Open-Meteo - For weather data (only your selected city coordinates are sent)
- AI providers - For article summarization (article content only, not your personal data)
Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. You can manage your source subscriptions and preferences directly within the app. To delete your account entirely, please contact us at hello@nutgrafe.com.
Data Retention
We retain your account information and preferences for as long as your account is active. Article summaries are stored in our system but are derived from publicly available news content. You can delete your account at any time by contacting us.
